What gets imported
Sure imports one investment account per Trading 212 connection, containing:- Current positions with prices and quantities
- Full order history (buys and sells)
- Dividends
- Cash transactions (deposits, withdrawals, interest, interest on free cash, fees)
Setting up Trading 212
Step 1: Generate a Trading 212 API key
- Open the Trading 212 web app or mobile app.
- Go to Settings → API.
- Generate a new API key. Trading 212 shows you an API ID and a Secret Key.
- Copy both values — the Secret Key is only shown once.
Step 2: Add the connection in Sure
- In Sure, go to Settings → Providers.
- Find the Trading 212 section and expand it.
- Paste your API ID and Secret Key into the corresponding fields.
- Select your environment (Live account or Demo account).
- Select your account currency.
- Click Save Configuration.
Step 3: Set up your account
After the first sync, your Trading 212 account appears in the setup queue. Click Set up accounts in the Trading 212 panel to link the discovered account to a Sure account. If you already have a manual investment account in Sure, you can link the discovered Trading 212 account to it instead of creating a new one.Environments
Trading 212 offers two environments:
Select the environment that matches the API key you generated.
Syncing
Sure syncs your Trading 212 account on the same schedule as other connected providers. You can also trigger a manual sync by clicking Sync in the Trading 212 panel under Settings → Providers.Troubleshooting
API key needs attention
Your API key may have been revoked or the credentials may no longer be valid. Generate a new API key from Trading 212 and update the connection in Settings → Providers → Trading 212.No account discovered yet
After saving your API key, Sure needs to run an initial sync to discover your account. Click Sync from the Trading 212 panel and wait for it to complete, then click Set up accounts.Account needs setup
A sync discovered your Trading 212 account, but it has not been linked to a Sure account yet. Click Set up accounts from the Trading 212 panel and complete the account setup.Cash transaction types
Sure maps Trading 212 cash transaction types to the following labels:Limitations
- Single connection per family: Sure supports one Trading 212 connection per family account.
- Investment accounts only: Trading 212 is an investment platform. Sure imports your portfolio and associated cash movements — it is not a general banking connection.
- Read-only access: Sure uses only read permissions. No trades or account changes can be made through Sure.
